Act4Peace: Coordinating for Peace-Building
Training Course
11-17 July 2015
| Parnitha mountain (Athens), Greece
With this training, we wish to inspire and empower young people to coordinate projects like work camps and youth exchanges, highlighting non-violent conflict resolution, intercultural learning, inclusion and human rights.
Workcamps and youth exchanges are guided by principles of non violence and intercultural understanding. Every one of our projects hopefully becomes a peace-building experience.
Within this frame, we want to train young people to take this very role into their hands and coordinate this kind of projects with sensibility and confidence.
The training will focus on the following topics:
- the role of leader and the concept of leadership in international youth activities
- intercultural experiences: learning, understanding, managing conflict
- social inclusion and human rights as a basis for international cooperation
- teambuilding, motivation and participation
This project is funded by the European Commission, managed by InformaGiovani and implemented in Greece by SCI Hellas.
