VOLONTARIATO PER I RESIDENTI IN LOMBARDIA
L´ocassione di
partecipare ad un campo di volontariato in Germania, facendo i piccoli lavori
nel pascolo del pittoresto villaggio Stockach – Wahlwies a favore di Pestalozzi
Children and Youth Village insieme ai volontari provenienti da Baden – Wůrttemberg,
Catalunya and Rhône-Alpes

project will be carried out in cooperation with the Pestalozzi Children and
Youth Village offering a home to children whose parents cannot take care of
them. It is a place for children and teenagers in social distress. Further in
the Children village young people with disadvantages have the opportunity for a
vocational training in the fields of farming, gardening, painting, baking,
selling, carpeting, cooking, sewing and domestic economics. Therefore the
volunteers will get in touch with the trainees and have the opportunity to meet
local young people. One speciality of the Children village is the own
production of food like vegetable, fruit and bred on the ecologically friendly
way of Demeter.
Work: You are going to help with the reconstruction of grassland and the
landscape in the Children Village. One task will be to beautify the grassland
which is surrounded by family houses of the Children village for increasing the
use of the grassland and that the children can enjoy being outside. Therefore
you are going to destroy an old little pond with heavy machines and after
construct this area with nice scenery like flowers, bushes and a see-saw for
the children. Further your help is needed to plant roses in front of solar
panels next to the gardener. Your work will be supervised by an experienced
professional worker of the Children Village who will explain the tasks and who
is looking forward to getting to know international helpers.
Accommodation: Accommodation will be in a gym of the Pestalozzi Children and Youth
Village and sleeping beds will be provided. The kitchen is in a school close to
the gym and the sanitary facilities are at the supply house.
Free time: The Pestalozzi Children and Youth Village is located in
Stockach-Wahlwies, close to the German border to Switzerland. There is an open
infrastructure with organic food shop, vegetable production and a farm. Nearby
are the Lake of Constance, the mountains Alps and the Black Forest which is
perfect for leisure time like swimming or hiking. The next big city is
Constance which is a very touristic and medieval town located at the lake.
